One Watchdog Worldwide, or No Watchdog at all Here at the Ol’ Watchdog, we are flushed with excitement that we are the SAG Watchdog for the world. For a list of the countries and our featured country of the month read on!
Here at the Ol’ SAG Watchdog we get messages, and visits, from readers all over the world! Listed below are some of the countries represented in our June visitors list.
New Zealand (Aotearoa)
Now the one that peaked my curiosity the most was Seychelles. Ah, in case you didn’t know, Seychelles, advertised as a tourist paradise, is composed of a group of Eastern African islands in the Indian Ocean, northeast of Madagascar. The population is 80,832 (July 2004 est.) The citizenry includes mixed French, African, Indian, Chinese, and Arab. The primary languages are English (official), French (official), and Creole!
So, why the heck would someone from Seychelles drop by our little SAG Watchdog website? Now don’t quote me on this but I believe it housed one of our branches that was shutdown due to governance!
Well, as you may know, Mr. Pisano dished out 300 grand to AFTRA to keep many of those branches open. Unfortunately, however, the Seychelles branch didn’t support Consolidation! Apparently when it was closed one member was heard exclaiming “Pissar!” Which ironically, is a slight variation of what Whipsaw uttered when consolidation failed!*
Anyho’ a big SAG Watchdog howdy to Seychelles our featured Country of the month.
