* *hot SAG’s 2008 LM2 filing, with the DOL, proves that rumormongers were wrong when they alleged that SAG Leaders had mismanaged members money, and that SAG would have a 6.5 million dollar deficit for 2008. But there was a union with a decrease in net assests. Guess who?

Date: Saturday 8/9/2008

Bogus claims that SAG Leadership had mismanaged SAG’s money and would have a 6.5 million dollar deficit have proven to be just that--bogus.

This bogus claim has been circulated thru Unite For Strength, and the anonymously run “SAG Watch on the Rhine;” The website diverted through Germany, in order to keep readers in the dark about its proprietors identity.

The newly filed SAG LM2 not only disproves the bogus allegation of SAG’s projected deficit, but, in fact, shows an increase of six million dollars.

This excerpt of SAG’s 2008 LM2 is from the DOL website.

To access the entire LM2 report click the following link. Once there, select SAG where it says union abbreviation, then hit submit. Once at the page click 2008 fiscal year.

Okay the rumor mongers were wrong about SAG, but their was a union that had a decrease, defiict if you will, in before and after net assets, and that union was AFTRA.

Whether it was because of their leaders mismanagement, the charge that the rumormongers levied against against SAG's leaders, or something else, I will leave that up to others to decide.

This from the DOL Website:
