I Just heard from a source attending the AFTRA Convention in Chicago . And I thought all you SAG/AFTRA actors, who want only all actors under one roof, would like to know that AFTRA’s NED Kim Roberts thinks that actors who want only all actors under one roof are basically RACIST!

She just compared the desire to have all actors under one roof as another form of racism and segregation or S. African. She claimed that the need to have all actors united under one union, leaving out the broadcasters and recording artists, was like segregation of another era in this country. She basically accused those of us who don't believe in a full merger as "segregationists." Forcing those who don't "look alike" to live in segregated neighborhoods."
Hmmm...I guess the WGA is racist because it only wants writers in its union. Not to mention all those racist plumbers, carpenters, etc...

So let’s see, if you don’t want broadcasters who don’t work actors’ contracts in an actors union, you are a racist. 
If you don’t want your union dominated by the branches, with a group of broadcasters who refuse eschew non-union work. You’re a racist!
If you don’t want to unite with a group of broadcasters who will give you absolutely no clout when it comes to negotiations,you’re a racist.
If you don’t want Broadcasters to vote YES on a lousy TV/Theatrical contract, that promotes non-union work, just to increase their pension and health, you are a segregationist.
Huh? But, but they wouldn’t do that? Right?
Roberta Reardon proclaimed,

Us? Earth to Roberta, the only reason most actors are in AFTRA is because they came over to AFTRA to do voiceover radio spots, or were forced to go over there when AFTRA started poaching shows from SAG by low-baliing SAG’s contracts with inferior minimums and residual giveaways.
Hell, I just worked an AFTRA contract which paid less than half of what I would of been paid if it had been a SAG contract. Not only that but no residuals the first year. It’s time for SAG to assert its jurisdiction and impose "Rule One here" in the USA. Time to get AFTRA out of the screwing actors business.
Beside of the outrageous racism comparison, there where plenty of lies to go around. How about this one? AFTRA has stopped TV shows from going out of the USA.
