When AFTRA began poaching SAG cable shows by low-balling their terms and conditions, their excuse was that they were stopping the producers of those shows from becoming runaway productions.
Well that’s more AFTRA B.S. that has come back to bite them on the ass.
The following shows were posted on the SAG Actor Bulleting Board as new network dramatic/sitcom shows that have been renewed--five SAG and six AFTRA.
Interestingly, of the six AFTRA shows two, or one third of them, are being shot in Canada.

Remember these are only the current crop of AFTRA Runaway Productions. But even with AFTRA posting a list of their Runaways, there are still those who deny the basic facts.
This post commenting on AFTRA’s poaching and runaway productions was posted under "comments" on the Baghead Blog, anonymously run by the “Cowards of the Internet."
“AFTRA has pretty much taken over all 1/2 basic cable. AFTRA is on its way to taking over 1 hour basic cable. This has been accomplished by granting producers mover favorable terms, than SAG would’ve granted. AFTRA can plausibly deny poaching, by claiming that granting exhibition windows, keep jobs for going to Canada. In actuality it keep jobs from going to SAG jurisdiction. It also send piles of dues money, which would’ve in the past gone to SAG, to AFTRA.”
Now when anyone posts comments that the anonymous Baghead editor disagrees with he/she/it always counters with a remark something like this.

No wonder they prefer to remain anonymous Bagheads.
