You May have to “Qualify” to Vote--- under PENALTY OF PERJURY! See the enclosed Qualified Voting Affidavit!

.: .
Date: Wednesday 9/3/2003

EMC has already published the failed Smoking Gun Amendment from the Agents Relations Committee. The enclosed “Qualified Voting” affidavit is one of the deadly bullets! And remember, you would have to sign it under penalty of perjury!

2. paid at least two thousand ($2000) dollars in commissions to an agent within such five (5) years. Documentation: Affidavit filed with S.A.G. 30 days prior to mail date of referendum.

So, the next time President Gilbert and her current administration says that there have been NO DISCUSSIONS on Qualified Voting---ask them if they have seen the above Qualified Voting affidavit? Oh, and be sure to ask them to respond UNDER PENALTY OF PERJURY!

Our current leadership seems hell bent on disenfranchising the little guys and gals of the Screen Actors Guild. Especially, our membership in the branches, many of whom do not have agents--or enough job opportunities to qualify! The scary thing about the above Qualified Voting affidavit is that your ability to vote is not even based on how much you work or earn---but on HOW MUCH YOU PAY IN COMMISSIONS TO AGENTS. You could have an income of One Hundred Grand a year and if you paid no commissions you would be denied the right to vote! And they deny that they are trying to Appease The ATA/NATR!

We here at Every Member Counts feel that this union should be serving members, not serving them up! That’s why we are endorsing Kent McCord and his Membership First Slate!
