One of the favorite pastimes in Hollywood is celebrity spotting! So, in an effort to give folks what they want, EMC decided to add a new feature! Celebrity Picket Line Crossings! So CHANCES ARE if you were on a UFCW Picket Line at Pavilions in West Hollywood, you spotted Johnny Mathis crossing the Picket Line. 
Now according to those workers on the picket Line, Mr. Mathis is always very friendly! And if you think just because SAG/AFTRA member Mathis is not a nice guy just because he crossed the UFCW picket line, everyone said that he smiled and waved at them when he crossed their line into the store.
Personally, as a big fan of Mr. Mathis’ since his early days on Don Sherwood’s San Francisco Tonight, I must admit that my eyes became a little MISTY when I heard about this Celebrity Spotting!
When’s the next time I’ll buy a Johnny Mathis record…THE TWELFTH OF NEVER!
Hopefully this will be the last EMC Celebrity Picket Line Crossing!

PS, according to all the UFCW Picketers we talked with, not only have most SAG/AFTRA members honored their picket lines but they have generously brought them coffee, cookies, water and a lot of support. As for Mr. Mathis, perhaps if in the future he honors our brother union members struggle—then, indeed he will be a real CLASSIC!
